Great Decisions

The League of Women Voters of Berkeley Heights, New Providence & Summit is sponsoring the Great Decisions Program for 2019. Great Decisions, produced by the Foreign Policy Association, is America's largest discussion program on world affairs.

The program runs on Wednesdays from February 6, 2019 to March 27, 2019 at 7:30 p.m. 

Meetings are held at
The DeCorso Community Center
15 East 4th Street
New Providence, NJ
(take Springfield Avenue to Livingston Avenue and 4th Street is a short distance in).

The cost for the eight week session is as follows:
  • $85.00 for League and SCC/AAUW members
  • $95.00 for non-League and SCC/AAUW members
  • Drop-ins may attend and pay $20.00 for individual sessions (pay at the individual session) 
  • Students may attend individual sessions at $10 per session

This year members of the Summit College Club should use the LWV cost.

The Foreign Policy Association provides an excellent manual, which you receive upon registration. A video clip is shown at the beginning of each session. Lively discussion is encouraged by the facilitator. After each session, participants fill out opinion ballots, which are sent to members of Congress and appropriate government departments.

  • MARCH 20: The United States and Mexico: Partnership Tested
  • MARCH 27: State of the State Department and Diplomacy
