Leadership Committee
For the upcoming year, the LWV of the Princeton Area will operate under a Leadership Committee with a term of one year. League members will vote at the annual meeting in June for this committee.

In March, a group of our members visited the LWVNJ office and then attended a Senate session at the State House.

The League has been accepted as a participant in Communiversity to be held April 28 from 1-6 p.m.  Please volunteer to staff our table, which will be on Nassau Street (town side), 4th booth south of Witherspoon. A poster will be on the table to attract visitors and informational materials will be available such as “Fun Facts about the League.”

LWVNJ Convention (May3-4)
Attending the convention will be Lee Forbes, a member of the LWVNJ State Board. Nancy Hall, Sandy Smith, and Melissa Scott will also be attending as voting delegates.

VenetisAnnual Meeting and Dinner
The annual dinner meeting is planned for Monday, June 10 at the Salt Creek Grille in Princeton Forrestal Village (Note: Date and place updated May 2013). Penny Venetis, Clinical Professor of Law at Rutgers-Newark, will speak about voting rights. Details will be sent by email and listed on our website.

LWVNJ Raffle
RaffleA raffle to support the LWVNJ Education Fund will be held on the last day of the Convention, May 4. Prizes are an Apple iPod, a Kindle Fire HD, and a $100 American Express card. Please contact Rita Ludlum or Lee Forbes at to purchase tickets for this worthy cause. Tickets cost $10 each.

Citizen's Guide
The committee decided not to purchase Citizen’s Guides at this time.  We will receive complimentary copies in the fall. Click here to order one for yourself, or check our website for later online availablity.

SAR_header 3Princeton Stands Against Racism
Our League is partnering with the Princeton Human Services Commission for the annual event, Princeton Stands Against Racism.  This event will be held Friday April 26 in Hinds Plaza beginning at 5:15 PM, with a reception for participants from 6-6:45 PM.  For more information and to volunteer, please contact
Monthly Meetings for 2013-2014
Meetings are being planned for the second Tuesday of the month for the 2013-2014 year. The meetings in November, December, January, February, and March will be scheduled from 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM, at the Princeton Library if a room is available.  Evening meetings will be held in September, October, April, May, and June from 7-9 PM at the Suzanne Patterson Center.  The final schedule will be posted on our website.
