NJ Government & Politics

What You Need to Know

The LWV of Lawrence Township is pleased to announce an important public program on how you can participate in NJ government and politics, featuring Ingrid Reed, a noted leader in promoting fairness and transparency in New Jersey politics.

Wednesday, February 17, 2021, at 7 PM via Zoom

The program is free and all are welcome!

What You Want & Need to Know

Are you concerned about public issues in New Jersey? Fair elections, safe water, affordable housing, school taxes, police funding, rules for the sale of cannabis? Have you ever considered running for public office?

Through a lifetime of civic activity, Ingrid Reed has perfected methods of civic participation that she will share with us. She will talk about how to address public issues in a manner that can get results. Ingrid Reed is currently Chair of the NJTV Community Advisory Board and a former director of the New Jersey Project at Rutgers' Eagleton Institute of Politics.

In the Q&A portion of the program, Ingrid Reed will respond to your questions. Please go to LWVofLawrence@gmail.com and submit questions by February 7, 2021.

Now is a good time to better understand how our democracy works! We encourage high school students to join us on Wednesday, February 17 and to submit their questions in advance.
