Membership Information
Joining the League is a great way to play an active role in your community and in our democracy! Everyone is welcome - membership in the League of Women Voters is open to anyone 16 years or older.
When you join the League of Women Voters of the Greater Princeton Area you are also joining the national (LWV.org) and the state (LWVNJ.org) leagues. Thirty-three percent of your dues will go to LWVUS, forty-seven percent will go to LWVNJ, and twenty percent to the LWV of the Greater Princeton Area.
Membership Dues
Individual members: $75 per year is the recommended amount, or pay what you can ($20 minimum.)
You can add a second member ($150 total for both is recommended. $40 for both is the minimum.) but each member will need to provide a unique email address.
Life Members: In appreciation of their dedication to democracy, Life members (members for more than 50 years) are exempt from membership dues.
Payment
The preferred payment option is is a direct bank transfer (ACH transfer), which minimizes fees. You'll need your financial institution's routing number and your account number.
You also have the option to pay by credit or debit card.
You have the option to auto renew each year.
You will see three transactions on your account, one for LWVUS, LWVNJ and LWV Greater Princeton Area
If you prefer to pay by check, please make it to: LWVUS, print and complete the membership form, including any additional members name and email, and mail both to: LWVGPA Treasurer, 187 Hamilton Ave, Princeton, NJ 08540

Nonpartisan Policy
Since its founding, the League has remained strictly nonpartisan, solely in deference toward defending democracy and our communities. However, you can be both political and a League member, just not in the same room. For any clarifications on this dynamic, please read LWVNJ's nonpartisan policy.
